180 degree rule.

180 degree rule is a rule that should never be broken. When you shoot a scene with actors you got imagine there is a line extending out between them. You can also move your camera anywhere along that line as long as you don't cross over that line. 180 degree rule is used to show the emotions/facial expressions within the characters.

Friends with benefits.
Here is an example of a 180 degree rule being shot.

180 degree used here is when the 2 characters are both talking to eachother, so which ever character is talking the camera will be set on them.
180 degree rule is also mostly used when people are having a conversation with eachother. It allows the audience to see their facial expressions.
