In my group we have decided to do a opening sequence based on bullying to show the consequences and outcomes in this situation. The reason for this is because i love the way a film is based on a serious situation and it allows our target audience (teenagers) to realise what the outcome could be.





                                         

i researched different films that could relate to bullying and the one that i could relate to was Odd Girl Out. I love the way it attracts the secondary audience (teenagers).
A mother and her daughter confront the intimidation of teen peer pressure and the emotionally brutalizing social rituals of high school. A well-adjusted teenager becomes depressed when she's ostracized by her friends at school. Her mother must help her daughter regain her confidence.

This Drama film relates to my opening sequence because it is the same genre and the story is similar. For example: a girl in school in being bullied and becomes depressed. However the mother isn't involved in my opening sequence, it is just her by herself getting revenge in the end.

 













This scene is similar to our opening sequence because we did a scene in the bathroom which relates to bullying. This scene allows us to base it on the characters feelings.






This is a scene i have filmed which relates to The Odd girl out. This film has inspired me to make a bathroom scene because it relates to the genre Drama. We see this because the bathroom scene allows the characters thoughts and feelings to be shown. It also makes it much more dramatic.
























This is another drama film that relates to a similar story to our opening sequence. I love the way its about one girl and how she gets bullied coming to a new school and it shows how its hard to socialise with people. This relates to a typical teen movie and the is a really realistic story line. however the clothing in this movie isn't like the teenagers dressed in college. This could be because this was originially from America. This is also a comedy drama which doesn't really relate to my opening sequence but it is similar in a way which the story line about getting revenge and the bullying is set up.

Kidutlhood

This film has really inspired me to make an opening sequence and story like this because it's in a urban area they have filmed in and they have all related to gang crime, bullying, fighting etc. This relates to situations that happened in this kind of society i live in today. We have used similar costumes such as the school uniform idea. This is used because bullying happens in everyday life and could happen in school and the way bullying is done relates to society today. Especially the urban areas we live in today.
